Vic, you really do have nice cattle. I am not into technical evaluation but I like how well muscled your calves are. And it does not take much to see muscle=meat. :D

Got some dinks too, i just don't take their picture very often. Funny thing is i have a heifer out of this bull and my 1800lb cow that is a POS and i can't figure out why.

Thanks for the compliment. What do you think about us trying to sell some semen on this good lookin Angus bull?

He looks as good as the ones I see in the catalogs. I am probably not the one to ask but to quote dun, "who really cares" , I'll pay my money and take my shot, I think you could sell the heck out of it. :D

Looks good.....so is he an angus or balancer calf?

A balancer but barely. He is 75% Angus. Any less and he would be considered a hybred. He should make a decent commercial bull for one of the "black" herds around here. His full brother sold for $3000 last year.

You have a nice herd of cows 3 Way! You have a nice crop of calves too, and it looks like your bull did a good job for you. He is a good looking dude. Your cows have nice long hips.
There is one thing that is killing me. The mountains in the back ground behind the cows. Awwgghh! A farmer across the road from me took down all the beautiful woods that surrounded a field, and put up an irrigation system that I have to look at now. The woods had so many dogwood, redbud, hickory and other beautiful trees, that in the Springtime and fall, it was such a beautiful site to see. Now I see nothing but metal. It makes my heart melt looking at those mountains.

I know what you speak of. I used a dozer to clear my pastures but there were very few nice trees so I don't feel guilty. I left the ones I did find. Red Bud are my favorite back here. I did not find any dogwood and I love them. I have onlt one Tulip poplar on the whole farm and that is the KY State tree. I do have some nice hickory, red and white oak and tons of black walnut.

Vic is in one of the most beautiful states I have been in and I have been in 47 of the 50. I love those mountains but we all know both KY and TN will support more cows on an acre than you can put on a hundred out there. Well, you know what I mean. I was in WY for 7 years and even the jackrabbits up there have to carry their lunch in some parts.

Hate those!!!!
All I can think of is that it was just the worst possible splicing of the DNA, not even the median genes made it thru.
Have a heifer from last fall that's like that, gotta hide her in the shed so no one will see her in the herd!! Looks like a black half dairy calf... far cry from her granddam and half brother who got in the freezer efficiently.
My brother is already grumbling that it's going to take a bit of feed to grow her out for butcher. :(

Like your bull calf a lot 3way

Love the length on both calf and dad. Need to find me a balancer bull to put over my brangus gals. Beautiful scenery also.

Where are you? Maybe i can steer you in the right direction for a good Balancer Bull!

Few minutes south of Dallas, won't be replacing my current bull til April next year. Having a bull and calves that look similar to yours has got me intrested in the breed. All breeds have their nutcases but how are yours disposition wise? I'm currently running a limmi as a full terminal cross and it seems he's gonna be hard on my fences. Great breeder though, it always seems like he's hopped up on red bulls and Viagra!
