I'm planning on purchasing a couple Hereford Bulls this fall and wanted to know if anyone has had experience with Dudley Bros or W4 Herefords? If anyone would recommend other sales in Texas I'm open to suggestions.

I would take a look at these bulls too. Indian Mound Ranch, Canadian, TX:

I'd skip the sales. Just head over to Stephenville, Texas, that Dot-US guy probably has something that will work. I hear he's upgrading to these new and improved EPD cattle......

After you buy a bull from him, make sure he takes you down to Dublin for a good after sale meal......

Save time, save money.......

Who's dot-us? I'm gonna need 4-5 bulls and don't want them all having the same lines.

I'll check out the Indian mound thanks for the recommendation.

I know what you mean. That close breeding, you might end up with an extra limb or a slack jaw or a lazy eye or ...or....

I guess I'm the "dot.US" guy! WichitaLineMan knows that I don't currently have any bulls for sale and was just poking a little fun my way. NolanCounty AG, I would have recommended that you contact him for some good bulls - but I know that he's sold out of bulls as well.

Based on past years' sales results, I think you might get more bull for your money at the Indian Mound Sale than the two that you mentioned. But both of those outfits sell a lot of bulls to repeat buyers each year. Two other good sales coming up are:

Powell Ranches

and

Barber Ranch (Sale will be in San Saba in November)

Dudley Brothers and W4 are both good choices. There is another place in Brownwood named MW Hereford ranches but I think their sale is in April. I'm sure Powell and Barber have good stock too! Sounds like you've got some homework to do depending on where your headed with your stock! Gives me a headache thinking of having to pick 4 great bulls! :)

Here are a couple of places that have some good bulls for sale, by private treaty:
6 head of spring yearling bulls, sired
by 5216, 827, 1050 (by 827), and 2105
(linebred 5216.) All are raised in rocky
country. Located at Artesia, NM. Like us on
