failing to shed

Purebred Angus calves, yearlings, have not shed their winter hair. Calves have been feed quality hay, protein blocks, salt blocks, good pasture and water supply over summer. Calves have long hair but otherwise are very healthy. Hair does not comb or brush off but is firmly attached. Any suggestions? Thanks

How long ago were the moved to their new surroundings? Are they being managed differently then they were?

Some cattle just won't loose that long hair. They will perform the same as regular cattle it's usually just a genetic trend that shows up every few generations is some cattle we get it when we buy calves every year. Nothing really to be overly concerned about. Jake
