F-1 crosses

Help Support CattleToday:

Brafords are 3/8 Brahman and 5/8 Herf
brafords can be what ever suits you are your area from a 1/4 brahman in the upper south,, to 3/4 on the coast even F1's ..... un certified F1's are what really kills the braford association most cattleman prefer them and their bulls aint popular
Not here. A registered Braford is 5/8 hereford 3/8 brahman
That's what I meant. To my mind if it's not that ratio, it's a brahman-hereford cross.
well its that way, any way you look at it,, the braford association here is flexible on the percentage.. but the f1s are the most popular, for commercial rancher ,, heck they would use the papers too wipe their hind end

we want to breed either f-1 brangus or brafords running brahma cows

That's exactly how you do it. You breed those by running Brahman cows. It appears you took it say they meant to breed to F1 Brangus.

my plan is to breed full blooded brahmas to either full blooded angus or herefords, thus making F-1 brangus or braford, sorry if that wasnt clear
