Have a small herd of F-1 Bradfords and have been offered the use of a Reg. Santa Gertrudis Bull. Would this be a good match/would calves do good at sale in Texas. Thanks for any info.
If you use a Gert bull you would be increasing the percentage of brahman in your calves. That might hurt the price you receive for them. Why don't you visit the sale barn where you expect to sell them and see what sells well there? An Angus bull would take the horns off and black baldies generally sell well.
