Exhaust Back Pressure Sensor

had a code pop up on my powerstroke. happen to anyone else?

Easy to change, looks like a oil pressure sensor. On the 95-97 models it's on the pass front of the engine, just in front of the valve cover. When it goes it can cut power down to almost nothing among other things. The tube that goes down to your exhaust can become plugged, blow it out if you replace the sensor. Check with International, their sensors are usually half the price of the Ford place.

You're welcome. More than likely the sensor is bad but you could have a plugged cat or some other exhaust restriction. Is the truck acting odd?

i got the truck back today. they reset the computer and kept it overnight. everything seems fine. i'll find out when i pull a load. when the light came on, it never missed a lick. they pulled a back injector code. i told them i had a turbo underboost problem.
