Sounds funny but I'm not referring to a bovine. So as I rotate the cows go through gates. I noted in my book about the sagging gate the other day. Then yesterday I found another. Today I found two more. So I started to inspect them. The gates are bent at the second and third bar from the ground. All lower gate hinges are loose. Looks as if someone bounced on the gate, 5 of them all together! The cows haven't been in this field for over a month. It wasn't them. I used the gate 2 days ago when I prepared for the cows to go into the field, no problems.

WTF! who does this stupid petty shift? I hate my neighbors.

I've never inspected my gates but did catch my nephew riding the gate while jumping up and down on it. I think he still does it when I'm not around though. Our gates are all beat up from truck bumpers so no use looking at them to close.

Horses enjoy rubbing their hind ends on gates. It took the fun right out of them doing that when I
hooked a hot wire to the gate. I'm sure that would work in other situations.

Only reason it make much difference is because I bought them new a couple years ago when I fenced the pasture. I cleared that pasture after the tornado that took a couple thousand feet of back line out of service due to trees. Fence is a running joke here.
