All of the breed associations web sites have full information on what their particular EPDs mean and the breed averages, also have the high and lows and normally what differnce the various accuracy ranges are. http://www.angus.org/ http://www.hereford.org/

Here's a link to an Angus publication called "Bull Buying Strategies..." It has an explanation of Angus EPDs. I think you can print it out. EPDs can't be compared across breed. For example, a Charolais bull with a 0 birthweight EPD is the equivalent of an Angus BW EPD of 5. But EPDs are figured pretty much the same within each breed. Good luck.... http://www.angus.org/pubs/bullbuy.htm
