Can someone explain to me ced epds to me? Im studying bulls and one with a higher bw have a higher ced epd.

Calving Ease Direct has other things figured in then BW. See the thread about BW or Shape. While BW is used to calculate it (with most breeds) the reported calving ease as number and difficulty of pulls is most of the number. One thing to watch for is the accuracy of the EPD and you hsould check back multiple generations to see if it is one of those matings where they just average the parents CED and use that(low accuracy). Check the ancestors for their CED and accuracy.

Everyting Dun said just to add a little in the Angus breed usually the higher the CED the lower the BW and if they just average the numbers it will have a I for interim in front of the EPD number.
