I have a 4 year old bull whose penis appears enlarged and hanging more than normal. Skin around seems enlarged also. I can't see a vet until Fri. Should I do anything before then?

Ask the bull what he did to get that way and then let us know --- I'd like to have that same "problem". (ggg) Sorry, just couldn't resist that one. Reminds me of a post I saw on a gardening forum where some lady wanted to know "how to get my melons to grow larger" --- she got lots of clever suggestions.
He could have a broken penis, infection of the prepuce, even burrs stuck in there! I've also heard of hairrings causing problems....unless this bull is REALLY quiet and gentle, it's best to wait for the vet--otherwise both you and the bull could be permanently damaged! Good Luck! V
I have had bulls injured when young bulls are together with one hot cow and they push and fight for her. Also when mature bulls are with young bull calves the same has happened.
