Cows sometimes will lay down with their feet uphill and die of bloat. Only way to keep from losing cows is,not to have any. Which is a near goal for me.

Sorry for your loss and the end of your streak and also for them not having any steak for ya! Just lost a cow a week a 2 ago, guessed it to be cancer she just quit eating and just went downward until she died. Should have sold her when the calf was young instead of waiting for the additional lbs. to be put on the calf. She did get that calf raised. Cows will surprise us all the time one way or another.
