Our local trailer parts supplier went out of business. I have been looking on line for 12" electric brake assemblies. I have found them on line for $43/each. I need 20 of them and can buy them locally through a new local supplier for $60.

Does anybody think there is a quality difference between any of the different brands.

Does anyone know why new trailer break linings are so much thinner than pick up's

so you have to replace them more often??

BTW, what's the correct wiring for the brake setup? the constant 12V from the truck to the trailer battery and one terminal of the breakaway switch, then the other terminal of the breakaway to the trailer brake wire, correct? I borrowed a trailer and all the wire colors are wrong, the brakes don't work (because the ground wires from the axles were too short and ripped off), and half the wires in the connector were ripped off... I had fun for a couple hours on that one
