Electric Fence

I'm in need of a electric fence charger. I don't know ANYTHING about them but from reading I "think" solar may be what I want. I'll need to cover about 30 acres.

I run four Solar Parmaks one is pushing 15 years old and the others are not far behind.
Have had excellent results and service from them. Owned one of the Z brand piece of junk.

What kind/type/gauge wire?
What about that poly rope type?

12 1/2 gauge double galvanized steel. There may be others but the weight's around here are 170 and 210. If you ever want to bend the stuff stick with the 170

Any experiences with Gallagher M600?

I had a M800 for about 15 years, now I have a M1000. I'll admit I like Gallagher products, they've worked well for us.
