We are raising holstein calves bought out of sale barns. I had an alpine goat die last summer with the same symptoms. They first appear tired and won't eat. Eventurally they bloat and the manure looks like human
caucasion skin before they die. Help!

If your vet can't diagnose your problem or is too costly try contacting a local university with an animal science department. Most of them will do autopsies on the animal free of charge strictly for educational purposes, and contact you with results and possible remedies for your problem.
