Drought and Pasture

Here in Alabama we're in the midst of a moderate drought. I've got two 8 month old steers on a 6 acre pasture (bahia) that is starting to look ragged. The steers aren't eating it down enough and I'm wondering if I need to bush-hog it to maybe stimulate some new growth (if I see some rain coming)? What do you think?

Bush hogging will definitely help..But make sure the calves have plenty of free choice minerals...a few range pellets will help if the grass looks dry...I have bahaia pastures also here in AL..hope this helps
