dried vaginal discharge on bred heifer

I just bought this heifer and she was supposed to be due in March; however she is sprung and her bag is full. Her inguinal ligaments are gone. She had a discharge a few days ago, and I thought she was going to freshen as it was white and not yellow. Now it is dried up. Should I call the vet?

Most likely the cervical plug, just one more phase they go through before calving. Some lose the plug weeks before calving some shortly before.

Never seen a "plug" yet, over hundreds of calvings. I see all sorts of different mucus presentations in the cows, some have lots from half-way through pregnancy, some almost nothing until just before calving. Yours sounds normal to me.
