National News confirms. Statement comes from Veneman. They also make statements about the national ID system and restricting the meat from entering the food supply until test results are conclusive.

Yahoo, it is about time. The industry is too slow and if we waited on the industry we would never have a ID program, always too expensive. When the ID program is in place, COOL can grow with little resistance due to tracking programs. The packers and distributers will certinely howell. They will need new computer programs to track cuts of meat and match sources of animals they came from. Now that could be expensive. But the manufacturing industry went through this twenty years ago in reverse. They may be able to use their programs in reverse, you know, instead of assembling, disassembling.
