Wally the "barn" cat, he got a little spoiled when I had a cast on my leg for 8 weeks. He's 9 months old.

The Border Collie continues on a daily basis to prove to me how smart he is. Drives my wife crazy that he also sleeps on the bed at night. My best friend. If I go anywhere he is in the passenger seat in the truck with me.
The Shepherd is a rescue. He was well beaten and starved when we got him. If I found the original owner I would do the same to him. He is quite protective of the house and my wife, but if you bring your kids over and they have a dirty face I guarantee you the face will be clean in less than 5 minutes! LOL!

This our latest addition, he showed up or somebody dropped him off at about half grown kitten stage in early winter. He catches mice and birds so he earns his keep. When it's not out hunting he is close by the bottle calves.

This is Jip aka The Jibble. She is a little bit spoiled, very moody, extremely stubborn, subject to bite anything that moves or even inanimate objects that she thinks might move. You can tell when she has gotten worked up about something, her mouth will quiver until she's slobbering. She likes rides in the truck and side by side. Likes drive thru windows that give her dog treats and doesn't understand why they all don't On top of all that she is very loyal and protective of us.

This is Bella. She was rescued from under a trailer in East Texas as a pup in 2009. Loves to go everywhere with us. Great dog!

A farm or ranch always needs a couple of good cats to keep the pest numbers low.
Wife made me install a cat door on the heated shop.
The cats sleep on the bench near the heater and eat from the food placed there. Cats that are fed seem to be better mousers.
They tend to hang out in the old buildings and the barn during the day but can always be found at night in the shop. Especially in the winter time.
The big bonus? I have had a lot less damage in the shop from rodents than ever before!
They earn their keep.

Ooooh, I have puppy envy! We've had chocolate, white & black Labs. Clearly biased, but my favorite breed.

Owned Russell's for years big dogs in a little body. Russell's are not for everyone they need lots of metal stimulation.
My old dog has cancer she had a lot of grit when she was well and the most hard headed one I ever owned.
My young dog the Mrs. got for me when DD was diagnosed.
Now 2D is by far the most intelligent Russell I have owned. Now she is still a Russell and any thing that has fin, fur or feathers needs to be destroyed.

Imagine those traits in a big dog and that was my brothers half dingo dog. He was as intelligent a dog as you will find and fast, he'd keep up with you doing 60kmh on a motorbike. Snakes never had a chance. He took down Emu's and one time took out a 6ft tall kangaroo. He didn't dig holes, he dug tunnels when he got on the scent of something. He was ok when my brother was around but when he wasn't was a scary proposition. My brother ended up getting rid of him because of that. Just that dingo 'instinct' that can't be reasoned with.

This is Coco; my parents dog. She used to play w the calves (they just looked at her while she barked lol) but Mamooshka got after her one day, and that ended her even wanting to get out of the truck w the cows around lol

I guess when i started this thread i should of included Henry our cat. He would probably take a swipe at me if he knew i slighted him. Lol. He started out as a barn kitten but he got terrorized by other cats that came in. I felt bad and told my wife (her cat….) to bring him in and "rehabilitate" him and put him back out. Well, he never left but hes a pretty cool cat.




Bailey and him merely tolerate each other. Its funny because sometimes he will go after her and sometimes its the other way around.

Our pembroke corgis, mother and daughter. Corgis are really hard to get these days. We had a litter a few months ago and got 4 puppies. One male has gone to be a stud dog, another male has become a companion dog at a school for children who have problems and a girl went to our neighbour who fell in love with our first corgi when she was growing up and has been searching for years to find one. Funny story, we had no idea she had formed a bond with our dog and one day she dropped in and asked us where we got ours as she can't find one anywhere. Ours had just had her puppies and she was so excited paid us a deposit for one straight away.

The big dog is Goliath the great dane, had him eight years before he passed away suddenly. Absolutely the best dog we have ever had. My wife and kids were so devastated as was I. The little tan dog and little merle one are both 3 month old great dane puppies that we just recently got. Hopefully they'll be able to fix the hurting in our hearts with more great dane love. The tan one is Ranger, the little merle is Magnus. We have two great pyrenees as well, Molly and Sammy. I'll get some pics of them up as well, they spend their time working watching over the cattle aka, the moo crew.

She's growing. Loves laying on the rug. Outside she'll follow you anywhere.

Well, Bailey has to have her right front leg amputated next Tuesday. We found a mass a couple months ago and had it removed and was set to start radiation. The mass is so aggressive that it grew back in just a few weeks and unfortunately radiation isn't going to be real effective. It might by her 6-12 months and we will still have to remove her leg then.

She is going to be 5 this December and she has already had both rear knees redone and now an amputation. My heart is very broken…she is such a sweetheart.
