Droughtmaster cattle are very good cattle,provided the Brahman content is maintained. Breeders here in Australia have done a very good job in their development. They were getting a bit slab sided so some people decided to infiltrate them with Limousin,thank god that didn't take off, their previous good temperament was compromised severely, so that doesn't happen any more.
They are very popular in Australia where they were developed. They were developed in a similar fashion to Santas. There are about 400 hundred stud breeders here in Australia. I don't breed them but my Dad has them he joins Red Brahmans and Santas to them. They do quite well.
