my daughters are thinking about showing a beef heifer for 4H next year. I have heard that Brahma is something you want to stay away from due to disposition. What do you think about the Beefmaster heifer and 12 and 14 year old girls?

Barhamn attle properly reared and handled are amon the gentlest cattle around. Seems like they tend to become like very large overly friendly dogs. Hoorah and cowboy them and there are few critters more difficult to handle.

Beefmasters are the most gentle breed i've ever worked with. I would highly recommend them as show animals, even if your kids were 7 or 8.

I think that any breed well handle since they are young would give you good show prospects, even though they are breeds more docile to handle

Beefmasters are very gentle when raised correctly. I once had a bull that liked to be scratched behind the ear. I know a good breeder to contact if you are in Texas.
