Kind of gardening...but i'm working on a egg dispenser. I hate, HATE, to wash eggs. My Leghorns are the nastiest chickens ever. The RIR hens have been clean even if its muddy, but those leghorns always make my eggs dirty..So, my first attempt, but I made a eggs drop to keep the eggs away from the hens once laid. Works pretty good. I have a few ideas on how to improve, but so far it works great....I get clean clean eggs...
I may try a metal slinky and I need a bigger basket. The nest is made of chicken wire and funnels into a hole where the coiled slinky is..The basket is tilted, so the egg rolls down the spiraled slinky into the basket, then slowly rolls to the side...I get too many eggs now though so I need a bigger basket.
