We just rebuilt our working chute and I used guard rail to do it. 3 rails high with 6 inches in between. Absolutely the best thing I have ever done. Our cows are soooooooo calm now. Even if they weren't they couldn't do anything about it. The fence is extremely sturdy. I bought my from a bunch of farmers who got together and bought a truck load.

Heck we don't use many guard rails here in Tn.
we just let them go off the road.Go figure
