That's a very liberal way of thinking.
Everyone gets a trophy.
I did not realize that call out the hypocrisy of the elite was a liberal point of view.
Since when is pointing out "rules for you shouldn't apply to me " liberal.
Sounds to me that you are wanting to go back to the class system. Where the rules passed don't apply to the elite because they are above the common folk peons.
That used to be commonly referred to as two/faced. Do as I say not as I do mentality has lead to the collapse of many societies all throughout history.
Glad to know you are in favor of such policies.

Seems to me like thinking you deserve the same as someone more successful than you is socialism. Or maybe just jealous..idk.. prolly you've just went so far right you've circled and stuck your head in your azz and the lack of oxygen has caused you to lose all common sense. If you can get some help pulling it out please turn off your computer and step outside. It's gonna be bright and scary out there but just breathe. You'll be ok.

Rank has its privilege's. (even in a Republic) Complete equality will always result in chaos. The trick is keeping the liberty clock running.

I'll never get that sound outta my head. Thanks.

There is this radical idea to some that is called "equal protection under the law"
Yep I know it sounds radical to those who want to reinstall the peasant/surf system. Sounds great until the shoe is on the other foot.
Their is a difference in socialism and expecting the same rules /laws to apply to all equally. And to call out the hypocrisy of those flying around the world in private jets to meet and lecture about how to save the environment by reducing emissions.
Never said to redistribute the wealth.
Only said laws should apply to all equally.
Maybe you should just keep dusting off your white hood and robe you keep in the back of your closet, and not say those things outloud.

Ok so what laws are you talking about???

Everyone gets a trophy.
I feel like the more successful I am the more I can consume. You seem to be of the everyone gets a trophy and anyone more successful than me is bad. Heat for your house and the house itself is something to be earned. But if the squeaky wheel gets the grease, you should be good.

wow.. .talk about left field.

That law against bad checks keeps most of us here from having private jets and multiple mansions. There was hope for that multi billion powerball, but winning ticket was sold in Los Angeles, probably not to a CT member.

That is not from regerating oil. At the time, they jumped to conclusions calling them depleted in a lot cases.

Adding to that:

At the time these fields were deemed depleted, the cost to produce the oil that remained was uneconomical to produce...same way production stopped in 2020 when the price for a barrel plummeted to -$30 for a few hours/day. With oil trading between $70 and $135 the past year, even Chesapeake (which went into bankruptcy and re-emerged) along with other companies that shut in wells during the time are completing them now. Still not many new drills, but activities before this last bust are showing signs of life.

In 1981, the vertical wells they were drilling in this area at the time were said to have a 15 year life. Their are some of those wells still being produced today due to newer technologies and the price of crude. As long as money can be made, they will continue to strip them.

The green energy companies would not exist if the government didn't feed them money hand over fist.

Nah just trying to be a smart ass. The information is all true. All those mentioned work along with many others. Leave the oil field professionals alone and they will provide all the hydrocarbons we need. The innovation is as good as anything that comes out of Silicone Valley. They can drill straight down 5000' feet then steer the drill bit bit on the end of a two mile string of pipe horizontally through a 8' wide oil charged batch of sand as easily as you or I can back a trailer up to the loading chute.
Hey....they don't necessarily drill em straight down anymore. Plopping 2-4 about 20 ft apart on a single pad they start the slant pretty quick. Shoot, I know a couple that head north before they head south to catch and tie up a lease.

Global warming. We see interstates turn rain storms and cities (like Atlanta) split fronts moving in from the west or south. We see temperatures in cities to be higher. So is it the pavement, roof reflection and concrete that absorbs the heat and then release it to the atmosphere? Get under a tree and its cooler. Grass provides cooler soil temperatures. Are folks just picking their sources of global warming to attack others? I think that is the ploy against engines. If the elites are sure that they want to stop whatever climate change they think they know about, just get them to quit AC, heat and combustion engines. They'll never do it. They are using the platform for a business or a side pocket money maker.

yea.. like going back to glass instead of plastic. how much oil would we save if that happened? What abuot getting manufacturing back into the USA - so nice, lifetime things are created and not a throw away chinese trash plastic item.

these people care so much about the environment but thats not stopping any of their habits that are 'destroying' the world.

going 'green' to save the environment is like building a skyscraper to help with the cause. Whats going on right now is not a 'green new deal' its a money laundering, power grabbing, agenda 2030 'you'll own nothing and be happy' 'crisis'..

41 doomsday climate predictions since the 60's.... but yea... this time... ITS REAL..

Same thing on endangered species: urban areas and activists yards and footprints of their apartment complexes were also part of the range of endangered and threatened species. Their urban storm water, garbage treated sewage still go to the places of threat, too. So why always target rural or undeveloped areas where the guilt is to be rectified. they need a letter every week or two to tell them what species used to live where they are before they ruined the environment. It is never about me being guilty - it is always about all of you being guilty. Live the guilt if you really believe it.

YES!!
At least that's what my uncle in Yantis Tx called it back in 2008 when he gave me one of those wick type kerosene heaters.
"Don, ya want a coal oil heater?"

(I had no idea what he meant by the term and I never did get that heater to work without it smoking like an old freight train)
Never ever put Coleman fuel in one of those.
I'm just sayin. It's different.lol

Yes, aircon justs shift the heat from the inside to the outside and generate heat in the process burning up electricity. Must add a lot to the outside temp in a concentrated area like cities.

I'm pretty sure Coleman fuel is just regular gasoline.
yep, pretty much. some of the additives are different (or missing) but white gas isn't all that different from unleaded gasoline. I've burned a lot of regular unleaded in my campstove.

I came up on an overturned semi one night on a bad curve... and after sliding to a stop to see if I could help I asked the driver (unhurt thank Gawd), what his load was. He was real nonchalant as he told me it was Coleman fuel.

The lights on the truck were still on. I suggested that he might want to turn them off. I don't know... it just sounded like a good idea at the time.
