Deworming Blocks

Help Support CattleToday:

It's hard to get the proper amount to each animal because of different eating patterns of individuals.

We have tried some of the blocks in past with the IGR insecticide. Problem was that the cattle probably didn't lick/eat enough of it to do any good. Also, they are little expensive. We use injectible Dectomax, Ivomec, and/or other Ivermectin products.

I don't believe they are a good substitute for regular dewormers because, as dun said, of the inconsistant dosages, but using the blocks between wormings would add extra protection.
