I was asking because I bought the 2 limousin already bread. They had heifers, I'm keeping the girls they are 6 months old and have buttons about a inch long. They will breed with my limousin bull at the end of this year.
One of my Santa Gertrudis ladys had a polled 50% limousin 50% Santa Gertrudis bull calf today.
 
you can dehorn them at any time after the horns appear. the larger the horns the more potential stress from blood loss.

horns that size should do fine w/scoop & burn
