Help Support CattleToday:

He's a red heeler. Right at a year old on jan 1. He's done pretty well with the cows even if he is still a little rambunctious and doesn't listen well. We've been working with him here at the house where we have one pair most of the time. He mainly keeps them circled up but has penned them once he figures out what I'm trying to do. And he won't let them get too close to us while we feed until we move away from where we feed. I can't wait to see how he does once he calms down and matures

I've only 20 or so heelers over the last 40 years Hook and they don't mellow out they just get better at swinging on the cows tail. Couldn't ask for a better dog with kids . Only had one that couldn't make it.

Here is the current heeler, Jesse with Claire the border collie and the barn cat.
