Last week a kid came into the yard, his dirt bike (2 stroke) seized solid and he borrowed our phone to call his dad to pick him up..
I went down with him to where his bike was, and while waiting, I was pulling some Knapweed, etc that was growing around there
So his dad comes, and lo and behold, it's the fellow in charge of the "Lillooet invasive species society" which gets grant after grant to do nothing but place an ad in the newspaper about some obscure weed... About as much tangible work they have done to reduce weeds around here is they put some custom printed fluorescent pink ribbons on some weeds along the road
Here is how effective they are.. Taken Sept 20, 2014... Nice and dead, full of seed
And here, it's STILL THERE.. I'm sure some conscientious person removed the seeds (It was the feral horses)

I'm sure glad to see my money go toward good, useful grants!
