Deere Strike

Help Support CattleToday:

decided by the board of directors. I would imagine that turns into a situation where they royally reward each other.
It is one big love fest.

It is the most absurd thing in the world. The only gate is when they ask themselves, "How much can we get away with?"

Making your own point be something completely different out of what I said is very.................................................................................... apparently your party has you brainwashed. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:
I don't care what label you put on me. I'm independent, corporations & their lobbyists have warped your brain into thinking you're on their side.
I'm on my side make no mistake.
I'm just not butt-hurt about the hand I was dealt. Got it better than some.....worse than some.

You don't care about labels, but you made sure to label yourself.....😂😂😂😂

In 2020 SEC reporting their top six people made $38M
I would concur that world wide conglomerate industry has made the move away from family businesses including family farms stripping and condensing profits and dividends to the penthouse dwelling management. People whose hands are far far away from the soil and horsepower assisting machines. Therefore remaining progressively out of touch with the 365/24/7 life style and responsibilities of the farmer who nourishes them.
It's time for farmers to stand together.

When it comes to CEOs of large companies, it's a club, and you ain't in it.
It's not as simple as "go to school and work hard", it just isn't.
I had several long beer fueled conversations with an executive VP of Volvo NA, on of the top 3 guys.
He laughed at the idea anyone with a good head for business + brains alone would ever make it to that level.
Self start up founder/CEOs are a different matter, but there's still a club
I don't think most people have issue with the company founder making whatever they can. They seem to have issue when they think the system is rigged. Insider trading for an example. Another example could be a "scientist" whose research is funded by some corporation with the outcome predetermined.

I think too macro for the most part.
I'm pretty sure things'll improve over the next decade or so, as we get these idiot boomer politicians out of office, and that generation rides off into the sunset.

I agree with part of that.. maybe for different reasons.
The American socialist (aka baby boomers) living off their great society entitlements are the single biggest drain on this country. The sooner we get them paid and planted the better. .... sorry old-timers it's the truth.

My John Deere was already made in another country. India I think?
Yes, as I understand it, the one I have was made in India, with the final assembly being done in the US. My previous tractors, a Ford and a Case were both made in England.

Same reasons. They reaped every benefit of the post war economy and world, then shipped it all overseas to fatten their own pockets. Now everyone has to support them thru retirement with half the spending power they enjoyed :ROFLMAO:
You know any generation that produced both the "Hippies" and the "Yuppies" is :poop:

Yes, but worker entitlements are part of that culture. Go to school, get a job , work your 40 and we'll take care of you..Bullshyt
I don't agree with that. You make what you produce. You should expect your agreed on pay. No government mandated entitlements.. If your employer is no good, get a different one.
Or ... become one.

sorry but I would rather work for my paycheck vs. sitting behind a desk and telling people under me what I want done.
How many CEOs have you worked closely with in your life?

The ones I know work very hard. To a one, they are exceptional people.

There are miscreants, I was just lucky enough not to work with any that were.

I thought that was how the free market was supposed to work.
Management says I will pay this much
Employee either accept the job , look elsewhere for work , or comes back with a counter offer. Until both agree or one side moves on . When their are more jobs then applicants the applicants have a slight advantage and can demand more. When more applicants then openings the management can demand more of the applicants or offer lower wages

You are right.

Collective bargaining is part of that.

Deere employees know what is going on. There is an employee shortage. They hold the short term advantage.

Deere will probably move the plant eventually.
