My experience-Be sure you have a big pickup to pull it. My neighbor found that when dumping a large load it pulled the back wheels of his pickup off the ground so he had to lower the trailer to be able to dump and spread the entire load.
I thought a dump trailer would come in real handy. But the rental place here rents one for $90 a day. I use it about twice a year. Can't afford to buy one for that. I have also thought about a mini excavator and a wood splitter but to only use once in a while it is cheaper to rent.
Buy one , do your work and then hire out using it to help pay for it . I bought a zero turn mower to mow my yard , started mowing neighbors yards 3 or 4 the first year and now mow 25 since I retired from teaching . I’m on my second commercial JD zero turn mower that is paid for !
