Out of curiosity, anyone here feed DE (diamateous earth) to their cattle? What are the benefits of feeding it? Thanks in advance.

It's good for killing slugs in the garden. Also good for scrubbing pots and pans. Don't know about feeding to cows.

I've read an article in a SA magazine where they said it could be used in a cattle rub for lice and tick treatment and claimed a whole lot of other advantages that I can't remember.

The claims are that it kills parasites. Pretty dubious data to support it. Iowa State was supposed to have done a study of it several years ago, but I never saw the results published.
