Been looking at ads for purebred heifers to buy, and have a question. In reading this one as it states all the EPD's for the bull, then it says "Dam's Ratio 1/106, or 3/102" etc. what do these #'s mean?

The dams ratio is how her calves compared against the other calves born in the same season. Weaning Ratio 1/106 means she has only weaned 1 calf and it weaned 6% heavier than avg. 3? 102 means that she would have weaned 3 calves 2% heavier than the average. These are in herd numbers. No comparison to another season or years numbers. No comparison to someone elses cattle.
