actually guys a cow makes colostrum only for 2-3 milkings after calving. the calf will only be able to absorb the antibodies for about the 1st 24-30 hours but that tails off from a high absorbtion rate in the first 12 hours. in the case of a dairy cow who was dry treated at the end of her previous lactation depending upon which product was used and how long she was dry she will be going back into the tank in 6-8 mikings(2x/day)
