I'd be tempted to become one of them there "furries" and start chasing Lazer lights myself
When I was down with broken neck several weeks ago, we sold calves. My wife and son were sorting. I just went to watch because I was under the influence of drugs. She would do the same thing you're describing, confusing our son and the guy there helping load on his trailer. I finally had to tell her to use "sale barn" or "back forty". She knew what she meant the whole time, just had problems conveying that to others.I had a great-great-uncle I used to help work cattle. He'd say "Keep that one," but you never knew if he meant keep it in the pen to load, or keep it on the place. Or he'd say "Let that one go." Does that mean let it go on the trailer, or let it out of the pen?
My wife says she never knows if I am talking to her, the cows, or the dog. I tell her that I am talking to myself because it is the only way I can have intelligent conversation.I had a great-great-uncle I used to help work cattle. He'd say "Keep that one," but you never knew if he meant keep it in the pen to load, or keep it on the place. Or he'd say "Let that one go." Does that mean let it go on the trailer, or let it out of the pen?
My best friend and I sorted for a sale barn for ten years. You get a several hundred trailer weaned calves bawling and it didn't matter what you said nobody could hear anyway.
