My thinking is that things started to go south when he started losing all his hair.

and Ala... there's been a LOT of water under my bridge, and I AIN'T gonna air it out on here. ;-)

I'm sure she's a nice lady, but she's wasting her time looking BACK, instead of forward.

That is kinda what I was thinkin LAR, hate and bitterness will eat a person up, probably should have kept it to myself, ended up with a PM. My bridge got washed out a few times over the years too but sure no need to air it here.

Yep CKC,

I got one too... but that's alright. I've never been known to keep my opinions to myself when I feel strongly about something. :p

I guess the reason I'm in the work that I do, is that I think I can fix things for everybody!!

found out years ago, it can't be done! But I'm just stubborn enough to keep trying! LOL

i understand what you to are saying,,, but its harder on some people,to deal with this sorta of thing... some are taking a dirt nap on account of it.

in somewhat related news. Rush Limbaugh has embarked on his 4th marriage. Paid Elton John 1 million dollars to play at his wedding.

Yup, and just a thought if there is the propensity for that much hate and bitterness.....could that be a problem??????

It would save Rush a lot of time and effort if he just married a pharmacist. Two birds and all that.

Marriage and divorce are both common experiences. In Western cultures, more than 90 percent of people marry by age 50. Healthy marriages are good for couples' mental and physical health. They are also good for children; growing up in a happy home protects children from mental, physical, educational and social problems. However, about 40 percent to 50 percent of married couples in the United States divorce. The divorce rate for subsequent marriages is even higher.

Ya know, as a divorced person, I used to get so tired of all the gloom and doom crap about how my sons would become druggies and drop outs because I was raising them alone. You couldn't tell their dad was there when we all lived together. He was not what you'd call a real involved parent, still isn't. So when my kids made the honor roll or got their pictures in the paper, and they wanted the parents names, I'd just put mine. He didn't have anything to do with it. He didn't take care of them when they were ill or drive them to practice or scrimp to put money aside for music lessons or soccer trips. He didn't make sure that they did their homework. I did. There was no way he was getting credit for it.

One is out of college, and although he's still looking for a job in his field, he's working and supporting himself. The other is in the top 10% of his class, involved in student government, sports, band and ag. I've been really lucky to have found Steve, my husband, and he's been a good influence on the boys, especially the younger one.

There are just some marriages that are better off in the trash. I got my sons out of it, and that is more than anyone could have hoped for. As for the rest, chaulk it up as a learning experience. I didn't divorce him. He divorced me. And he's failed at a second attempt since then.

is my memory failing me or did Gore star in some Viagra commercials?

Rather than singing "the whiskey ain't workin' any more" maybe he's singing "the viagra ain't workin' any more"

Just gotta respond again....
Well said Lammie and good for you to put your focus where it belonged. It would have done your kids nor you any good to spend any time hating and berating their Dad and being bitter for being "done wrong". Congratulations on the relationship you are enjoying now. Staying in a bad marriage "for the kids sake" is ridiculous. Actually staying in a bad marriage for any reason seems ridiculous to me.... I am pretty proud of my kids too, and I did it on my own too.

I think Tipper saw the writing on the wall. Big Al is worth millions....maybe a billion dollars right now. With his global warming / climate change scam exposed in recent months he is bound to lose tons of money. Tipper wants her half before that value drops. That is the only reason she was hanging in there with him. It is no secret among those in the know here in Tennessee that their marriage has been very cold for many years. Al has always been a little flaky so stay tuned as another man may surface....for Al that is.
