Had my second apple blockage in my cattle career. after I almost lost the first one I cut down all the apple trees in my pastures....except one evidently. Saved this one too but was lucky to catch it early knowing the symptoms. Hopefully that's the last tree out there....

We don't have to worry about apple trees in this part of the country, but my father lost a young Brahman bull to choking on a bois d'arc fruit years ago.
I have bull customers that enjoy giving their "pets" apples as well - which is wrong in my opinion at multiple levels. I warn them about chocking but......
Mine never actually choke. It gets stuck on the way back UP I think. They just can't eat or drink anymore.
