current rates to haul critters

Just curious what the current going rate would be for a (est) 30hr (round trip) haul (unloaded on the way up, and loaded on the way back). Trip starts and stops in the middle third of the USA (no crazy mountains).

Three pairs.
 
Last I checked I think it was $3.75 a mile for a truck. They only charge by loaded mile. With fuel going up they might be in the $4.25 range now.
 
I always just charge 2.50 if I'm going to make it home for supper.
15 hours and having to stay overnight, 3.50-4.00 would be fair.
