In case some of you have been holding culls for a higher price, slaughter cows and bulls are higher this week and "might" even be better next week. With most of the markets closed over the holidays and the weather that is keeping them from being hauled the supply is tight. Sold 25 this week that I had been holding.

They were better locally this week also. I've got a couple I'm probably going to send on vacation next week also.

Got a call tonight that cows and bulls will be 3-4 cents higher by Monday. Will stay until weather breaks and they can get them moving again. That could be as early as the later part of next week unless another storm comes in.
25 head that I sold this week would have made another $1,000 next week. Could have lost instead so I am happy.
