If this is from the book that you gave the title for: they are not breeds. They are simply crosses;some are just a hodge podge of different breeds and crossbreeds randomly mating.

I'm not real sure what the stars above the names stand for - but I wonder - - if someone (Ellie) gets the last star filled - does that mean they run out of space to write and they are not able to post anymore??Just wondering!

Good on you Ellie May for bringing life to the board. Your snippets of info are always amusing and interesting.
Here is a some more for the list,
From Australia. Squaremeaters, smaller frame scored Murray Grey
Mandalong Special, a breed developed over many years by a renowned master cattle breeder, they have Charolais,Brahman,Chianina,White Park and ? Shorthorn. They are a large breed that look like a red factor Charolais but with a smooth coat anf some looseness in the sheath area ,the ears are a little more pendulous.
Australis, a composite using South Devon and Angus.
A breeder in Queensland is breeding cattle called "Pandas" they are black with a white face, they are bred from Polled Hereford and Galloway.
We are stabilising a composite called South Brahvon using our pure South Devon and Brahman.
Might think of some more one day for you :)

I bet the Amerifax association is glad to find out that they are part bison. They're under the mistaken idea that they are 5/8 Angus and 3/8 Beef Friesian.
