hey guys
hey i was wondering, i love angus / hereford x's and i have one of my own and she is gorgeous. If i was to actually breed this cross breed would there be any less deficiancy in the omeny involved. If this is confusing all i am asking is is there less money involved in cross breeds than pedegrees?

Generally speaking, yes there is less money in Cross Cattle than Pedigrees, BUT there are a lot of varibles. It depends on what you're doing. If your not going into the registered stock business why bother?Just stick to the X's the $ aint enough to worry about from the sounds of your situation.

Registered animals bring more money majority of the time. They are supposed to be bred with the best genetics to bring up the grade of cattle, cross-breeds and registered alike. Both are important. The cow that you have is one of the better crosses that commercial ranchers want. She would be a good cow to start your herd with. Breed her to a really nice bull and save your heifers.

thanks guys thats really helpful. Well from the last thing posted it was to breed from her. another thing is we are going to breed with her when she next goes into season but what do i breed her to?? a hereford or an Angus bull?

luv Sea-Cow xoxo
