Cracked cutter bars on Kuhn disc mowers

There was someone on a site that told me about a person they knew that was dealing in cutterbars that were cracked and mainly Kuhns. Was it someone on this site? Does anyone know of a business like this?

I don't have your answer....but I was using kuhn earlier this year and notice it was cracked, and pointed it out to the owner. He said they could be welded....is this true?

I have heard they can be if you take them apart and weld the inside. I was also told by a good welder here that if you take them apart and heat them with a torch you will see all kinds of fine little cracks that are not leakin yet. He said it was a waste of time to try.
