Cows are out since may 29, lots of grass, a bit dry but nothing serious. Lost 10-15% of corn to frost 2 nights in a row (28-29 may) but we seed only 45 acres.E808D628-E31D-46D9-9326-7E6684A1FC6E.jpeg

Question on the corn... Do you plant your rows in a North, South direction? Also did you check to see if the ground temperature
had reached 55 F. or the comparable Centigrade temp? Barley makes better sauce than corn anyway, eh !?
That is respectable forage and cattle in the photos ....
 
Yes the corn is plant in a North, South direction our land is in that sens. We didn't check the temp of the soil. We plant corn for silage here since the seventies and it frost in part 4-5 times at the and of May or start of June.
