Cows attacking snakes?

Saw my 2nd chopped up snake yesterday in the middle of a pasture. It was in about 10 pieces. There were some cow hoof prints around it. Last fall I saw a similar sight in my weaning pasture where I had a bull and a few calves I( had already weaned. Can't help but wonder if the cows are actually attacking the snakes. Anyone else ever seen this?

Never actually seen it. I got a few brangus that I think would probably do it though. Seen em run everything else - including me. Have found dead coyotes, fawns, foxes and armadillos in the fields and have often wondered what got em.

Hey Little Cow, can't pass this one up! I'll bet those "ankle biters" would make great snake cows!
