go down more toward the tip on the loop and tuck it, so that so much of the loop aint hanging down and around the back and tail. and sometimes get under the stirrup.. seen alot bucked off getting the loop under the tail ,,, never got one under a cow though... so i dont know the effect it has on them :cowboy: ........ tip if it ever happens dont jerk it out let em relax and it will fall out.. they react by clamping it tight at first

Practice roping from the ground before you ever try it from a horse or a bovine.

You need to have someone teach you how to rope first.
