Went to a c/cf and bred cow sale last eve. Prices were as good or better than I've seen. Most were supposed to be in the 5-8 yr range and about 20 bred heifers
Blks/cfs: 6 groups of 2 & 3 mostly 1300 to 1725. Couple blks w char cfs 935. Singles were all over the place Char w blk nose cfs 9-950; most blk w/blk cfs 900-1500; coupl odd ones 500
Bred blks; most 7 months 1400-1600; 5-6 months couple in the 9-1000; most 12-1400; short bred 1-4 months 700-900. Couple odd ones 700-900.
Bred heifers all blks: 2 were 4-5 mos 1100, rest were 7 mos 12-1325.
2 bulls,sim/angus 1500 & 1595 lbs brought 2600 each. Semen tested
2 younger angus bulls 1205 & 1245 1500 & 1800 each.
Bought 1 char c/hfr cf for 910 and one longhorn c/hfr cf for 485. Both had nicer calves and cows could use a little weight. Couldn't pass up the longhorn at that price, even with no market here for them. See how she does.
