The more we thought about it, the more we figure that may she had 'help' with that. We thought of either someone stepping on the tongue when she was grabbing grain or stepping down on her nose (but there were no scrapes there). Did NOT think about her getting hit UNDER the chin. That seems much more probable. They get excited about eating and all crowd around the buckets. Lots of pushing and shoving no matter how far apart we spread the food!I swear I've nearly done that myself a few times
I'm wondering if it doesn't happen when another cow head butts them under the jaw while they're eating, I just have a hard time imagining they'd bite the whole tip of it off without "help"
