Cow jumps fence at the salebarn

How'd you get your fence jumper contained so you could get her into the trailer? Rope her down? Did she clear the fence on the first leap out of the trailer, or did she get to plant her feet on their property first?

She had never jumped before, so loaded just fine.

Once they signed receipt for the cow the sale barn has implied responsibility . Well.... north of Peculiar anyway....

What was the outcome?

Sale barn never called us back with an update but today we got a check and she was listed on it-so she either sold or they paid for her. I assume they caught her and she was listed as being pregnant--(unless she jumped after they had tested her).

Double what I thought she would. I hear mixed things regarding pricing of red cows. But, she did very well, I was pleased.

Good red cows sell pretty well here. People know they can still get a black calf.

If I went back there it would be like old home week. I bought and sold lots of cattle there. The last time I saw those people was when I drove over for Joe's memorial service at the Great Wolf.

That was Midway meats. I wouldn't have wanted the burger from there. Old dairy cows who wouldn't survive to get the sale on Friday went there. They even butchered ones that couldn't walk out of the trailer.

That sounds pretty close to $10 each (for the math challenged) or less than $9.50 plus tax.
Odd way of pricing, all menus I've ever seen price by the item, ie 1 burger, 1 pizza ect.
Or is it you always eat 2?
Some Americans love to super-size everything or can't imagine ordering only one.
