I was wondering if you could help me figure out what is wrong with my cow..She is about 1 yr. old and she is having problems with severe diarrhea..I dont know what is causing this problem..Also do u think that i should seperate her from the rest of the herd??please help
Hard to tell without more information. Lot of things might cause diarrhea. Sudden change in type of food, scours, pen/pasture pathogens, caught something from another bovine, etc.
I agree with Bill. Last week my gal (about 16 mo. old) had diarrhea for about 2 days out of nowhere. We figured it may have been the corn stalks we gave her (or something a neighbor fed her
Think about any changes she may have encountered and maybe ride it out for a day or two. The other thing I did was give her baking soda (free choice) just in case it would help neutralize something in her (it works for goats).
