I checked my cows and noticed that one of them has a whitish, yellow eye. I am talking about the entire eye. It doesn't keep it shut or anything. It looks awful. What should I do? My vet won't be back till thursday. This is a black cow, the other eye being dark brown.

One the kids on our FFA chapter had a problem similar to this. The vet said it was a vitamin problem. I can't remember which one. Maybe you research the net.

Sounds like pinkeye to me... we've had a couple with white in the eyes, and the vet said it was pinkeye

Pinkeye is the first thing you would think, but it should be tearing severely (face should be wet under the eye) and she should want to keep it closed.
If it is not bothering her at all - maybe it is the scar left over from a previous pinkeye problem - healed over & possibly blind in that eye.

By the way you describe the cow's eye I think she could be developing cancer in that eye. If that's the case you'd be better off if you sold her.
