Do any of you use a covered hay feeder that you can pick up and move around? Did you make it yourself or did you buy it? Had a bit of an accident on the farm yesterday with our covered hay feeder. Side broke off, bull went in, collapsed it (it sits up on legs). Anyways, long story short i need a better solution. I need something i can pick up and move around. We get a ton of rain which is why covered is better. Without cover i go through a lot more hay. Something I can pick up and move around with the tractor so that i don't get a giant swamp around where they eat. Anyone have any ideas for me?

How long does a roll sit out before it's consumed?

A product called a hay hut works quit well for horses. It wouldn't even occur to me to use it on just grass hay. Top quality horse hay, and a roll sitting around 3 weeks, I'd consider it. Not sure if a cow could even reach hay, when it gets to the bottom.
