cover hay or not

got a dozen rolls probly wont use til sept or so....cover em or not. theyre kinda half under the barn but a good storm will git em wet. theyre stacked 2 deep/2 high
idk...if i cover em theyll git hot? if i dont theyll rot? then git hot?

They won't rot before Sept. Any rain you get will cook right out of them.

Edit: I missed the fact they were stacked. I would do what hooknline suggested.

If you can't stack em in a shed or barn put them end to end in a line in your field.
I did that last year and the hay was just fine almost a year later

If they are stacked either cover them or arrange them like hook said. Stacked bales don;t shed water very well
